Collection: Single Bike Bearings
Cartridge bearings are a crucial component in road bikes, Mountain bikes (MTB), Time-Trial bikes etc. offering smooth performance and enjoyment. When we talk about bike bearings or bicycle bearings, we're referring to cartridge bearings. These self-contained bearing systems come pre-assembled with an inner and outer race, balls, and seals or shields, making them easier to install and replace compared to traditional cup-and-cone designs.
In bicycles, we can find cartridge bearings in hubs, bottom brackets, headsets, and suspension pivots. Their sealed design protects the inside of the bearing from dirt and moisture, ensuring longevity and reducing maintenance needs—crucial for both casual riders and competitive cyclists.
At The Grizzly Bearing Co., we offer four high-performance bicycle bearing variations to suit different needs and budgets:
Enduro Max: These are built for durability and strength. Ideal for suspension pivots, they use a full-complement design with more balls per bearing, increasing load capacity and making them perfect for aggressive riding or tough trails. These aren't suitable for wheels or bottom brackets as they are high-speed applications.
Grizzly Max: Designed for extreme use, Grizzly Max bearings combine a full-complement build with advanced sealing and corrosion-resistant materials. These are our ABEC-3 unbranded bearings so a cheaper but good alternative to an Enduro MAX Bearing.
Enduro Standard: These are versatile, high-quality bike bearings that balance performance and cost. With excellent seals and precision construction, they suit a wide range of cycling applications. They are not full complement so suitable for high-speed applications like hubs and bottom brackets.
Grizzly Standard: Offering rugged performance and durability at a more accessible price, Grizzly Standard bearings are unbranded bearings that are perfect for everyday riders who still expect quality bicycle bearings. They are not full complement so are suitable for high-speed applications like hubs and bottom brackets.
Whether you're upgrading a mountain bike, road bike, or gravel machine, choosing the right cartridge bearings can make a noticeable difference in ride performance, safety and component lifespan.
Explore our Enduro and Grizzly lines to find the ideal fit for your bike.
(We, also, have Frame Pivot Bearing Kits for Full-Sus Bikes that use these bearings so, as well as buying the bearings individually, you can buy them as a Kit for your bike, too Frame Pivot Bearing Kit )
